From its early origins in the latter 70s , Jamaican Dancehall sound has undergone a substantial transformation. Initially sprouting from Kingston's dancehalls as a minimalist response to Reggae’s increasingly polished sound, it quickly evolved with the introduction of digital production. The early DJs utilized sound systems and rudimentary rhythm
